About Me
Blending 25 Years of Construction Experience With Modern Manufacturing & Automation
I’m a full‑time student at CCAC studying Mechatronics and Entrepreneurial Design & Manufacturing, building on more than 25 years of hands‑on experience in the construction industry. My background includes carpentry, foreman work, special projects, and large‑scale commercial and industrial builds — experience that taught me how things really work in the field and what builders actually need.
Now, I’m combining that real‑world construction knowledge with new technical skills in CAD, machine tool operations, robotics, automation, and digital manufacturing. My goal is simple: use modern engineering tools to solve old construction problems.
Why I’m Doing This
Construction is changing fast. New tools, smarter workflows, automation, and digital fabrication are becoming part of everyday building — but the industry still struggles with inefficiencies, outdated methods, and problems that slow down crews.
I’ve lived those challenges for decades. Now I’m learning the technology to fix them.
What Drives My Work
- Designing smarter tools and systems for builders
- Integrating automation into real jobsite workflows
- Creating new methods that make work faster, safer, and more consistent
- Using engineering, robotics, and manufacturing to solve practical construction problems
- Bridging the gap between traditional building and modern technology
Where I’m Heading
With my construction background and my new training in mechatronics and design manufacturing, I’m focused on influencing the future of the construction industry — creating solutions that help crews work better, reduce friction, and bring modern engineering into the trades.
This is the foundation of Mimics Design: practical innovation built from real experience.
